Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first session? Our first session is gentle and structured, with the focus on helping you feel safe and understood. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what has brought you to counselling, and identifying your goals. There is no pressure to share anything before you are ready — we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Is everything confidential? Yes. Confidentiality is both a legal and ethical responsibility in counselling. What you share remains private, except in rare situations where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is required by law. If confidentiality ever needs to be discussed, it will be done openly and respectfully.

Do you work with children? Yes. I work with children, teens, and adults. When working with younger clients, I collaborate closely with parents or caregivers while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality.

What are your fees? Sessions are R400 for 60 minutes. Payment details will be discussed when booking.

Are sessions online or in-person? Sessions are currently offered online. Online counselling provides flexibility and accessibility, while maintaining privacy and professional standards.

Do you accept medical aid? As a registered Wellness Counsellor, sessions are not covered by medical aid and payment is made privately. My fees are structured to remain accessible while maintaining professional standards of care.
